Puerto Rican bolero singer Carlos Pizarro is often referred to as “La Voz Emotiva” (The Voice with Emotion). In 1947, on tour with Luis Cruz y Sus Marianaxis, he came to New York and decided to stay. There, he formed his Trio Los Tropicales and in 1959 released Mi Consentida with Ansonia Records.
